The Isle of Man Financial Services Authority (“the Authority”) is the regulatory body for the financial sector in the Isle of Man and regulates firms engaged in a range of financial activities, including insurance, pensions, banking, fiduciary services, fund administration and management and investment advice and management. The Authority is responsible for oversight of anti-money laundering and countering the financing of terrorism (AML/CFT) compliance for those involved in the financial sector and a range of other Designated Businesses, and has oversight of compliance with the Beneficial Ownership Act 2017.

HEAD OF AML/CFT SUPERVISION

The Authority has an exciting opportunity for the role of Head of the AML/CFT Supervision Division created by the upcoming retirement of the existing post holder

The successful candidate will contribute to the Authority’s mandate of protecting consumers, reducing financial crime and maintaining confidence in the financial services sector through effective Regulation. This role is a member of the Authority’s Executive Team and contributes to the strategic direction, the risk horizon scanning and positive culture of the Authority.

Extensive understanding and experience of the financial services industry and designated businesses, including compliance, risk management and AML/CFT along with an understanding of the broader finance industry including trends and developments is essential. The successful candidate will have proven leadership skills to provide support, mentoring and coaching that inspires and motivates all team members to reach their full potential. The postholder will hold a relevant professional qualification.
